Way more going on there than is in the article.
As for not reporting either the media doesn't report because he's not a Muslim "terrorist" and thus less hypeworthy or they didn't consider the threats or story credible. On the other hand that they don't consider the matter newsworthy in terms of the arrest and imprisonment is a concern. There is way to much invisible immigration based arrests and holding in the US.
