SINGAPORE - A netizen was appalled to come across a vulgar rant by an 11-year-old primary school pupil against his maid on Facebook.
The boy is allegedly from a top primary school in Bishan, said the reader in an email to citizen journalism site, Stomp.
In the expletive-laden post, the boy expressed his hatred towards the helper, and even talks about sex.
The post generated a flurry of comments, most condemning the boy's behaviour.
According to a social worker, Ms Yuan, interviewed by Shin Min Daily News, the boy's parents should intervene and put more effort in teaching him to respect others.
But Ms Yuan says it is also possible that the boy was simply mimicking the actions of his parents, or that his spoilt behaviour is a result of poor upbringing.
Are young Singaporeans getting more unruly and their behaviour out-of-control?
A female student from New Town Secondary was flamed on Stomp, for smoking and making rude gestures online. The 16-year-old also showed off her numberous tattoos on Facebook.
Readers say from the comments posted, she seemed unrepentant and 'very proud' of the attention she has gotten.
